I think your "article" (if you can call it that) on Sandino was extremelly biased and misleading. Where are your sources? How valid are they? Your use of words like "lashed at", and "re-interpreted" etc. are a sure sign of your narrow mindedness concerning Sandino. As far as the national Guard and Somoza you sure take great pains to avoid telling the reader who they really were and the great number of murders they commited at the time of Sandino and afterwards, until the time in 1979 when the FSLN was able to get rid of Somoza and his murderous National Guard. It's just a shame that people like you are able to spread malicious, deceptive and slanderous statements in the internet, without having to prove the truthfulness of your words. I just want you to know that you didn't deceive me!

Very nice re-written of history but even if we accept your fantasies the true still remains; SANDINO is a heroe anti-imperialist, SOMOZA was a clown of the U.S.A and the imperialist is still affecting our country.

So, Mr. Navarrro your folk tails has no effect over the name of the GENERAL AUGUSTO CESAR SANDINO. SANDINO VIVE y LA lucha anti-imperialista SIGUE.

Con referencia al mensaje que le envie por la pagina www de Sandino, le aclaro que nunca ha sido mi intencion hacerlo en tono de amenaza, no es parte de mi forma de ser. Si envie este mensaje fue porque generalmente todo lo que aparece en la Internet acerca de Sandino es originada de los sandinistas en Nicaragua o de personas que buscan como ensalzar la vida y hechos del bandolero.

Me complace saber que su interes es unicamente historico y escolastico, como buen nicaraguense tenemos todos el derecho de buscar nuestros arraigos y origenes y si por esto le he ofendido, le ruego dispensar el tono de mi mensaje y sus intenciones. Pero despues de todo, estamos de acuerdo en que Sandino fue un bandolero y asesino, que su imagen ha sido ampliamente distorsionada por una partida de ladrones y asesinos?.

I also recently read the Che Guevera biography (I don't have it with me and can't give the author - but it's the one that was very recently published) and was surprised that Sandino was mentioned only in passing and without connection to Che. But I saw that your map of ideologies and influences linking the two together. I wish I had more time to explore this, but I'm going to Nicaragua next week and will be unable to do so for a while.
